We want every member, learner and traveller to feel confident when they pay Grow South Africa. This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available, how much, and how to request one. It applies to all paid products and services on growsouthafrica.co.za, including memberships, courses, the Road to Wellness and Prosperity Card programme, and Tours and Events in South Africa. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method via our payment partners (Paystack or Netcash).
1. Memberships (Member, Amplifier, Leader, Flagship)
- 7-day satisfaction window: if you have not used any paid benefits (Business Registry listing not yet published, no premium content downloaded), you may request a full refund within 7 days of your first payment.
- Recurring renewals: are non-refundable for partial periods. You may cancel at any time to stop future billing — your benefits continue until the end of the period you have already paid for. See our Cancellation Policy.
- Annual plans: a pro-rata refund of unused full months may be granted at our discretion in the case of long-term illness, business closure, or relocation outside South Africa.
- Free Fan tier: no payment, so no refund is applicable.
- Partner tier: custom partnership agreements are governed by the signed agreement, not this policy.
2. Courses
- 14-day refund: a full refund is available within 14 days of purchase if you have completed less than 20% of the course lessons.
- After 14 days, or once 20% or more of the lessons have been completed, courses are non-refundable. This is because course content (including downloadable workbooks and personal action plans) cannot be returned once accessed.
3. Tours and Events
Refunds for paid tours, events, training days and community activations are tiered based on how much notice you give us before the start date:
- 30 days or more before the start date: 90% refund (10% retained for booking and processing fees).
- 15 to 29 days before: 50% refund.
- 7 to 14 days before: 25% refund.
- Less than 7 days before, or no-show: non-refundable.
If we cancel: if Grow South Africa cancels a tour or event for any reason (low numbers, safety, weather, force majeure), you will be offered a full refund or a credit to reschedule onto another date or experience of equal value.
Third-party costs: where a tour involves non-refundable third-party costs already paid on your behalf (for example, internal flights, park permits, or accommodation deposits with strict supplier policies), those specific amounts may be deducted from your refund. We will always show you the breakdown.
Travel insurance: we strongly recommend travel insurance for all multi-day tours. Insurance is the appropriate way to recover costs lost due to personal illness, missed flights, or other personal circumstances outside our control.
4. Road to Wellness and Prosperity Card programme
- Card activation and issuing fees become non-refundable once the physical card has been printed and dispatched.
- Community programme contributions made by sponsors or partners are governed by the relevant partnership agreement.
5. How to request a refund
Send an email to matthys@growsouthafrica.co.za with:
- The email address on your account.
- The product, membership or booking reference.
- The date of the original payment.
- A short reason for the request (this helps us improve).
We will reply within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days back to your original payment method. Your bank may take a further few days to reflect the credit.
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank. Most issues can be resolved quickly. Disputed chargebacks where a refund was already available under this policy may incur the bank's chargeback fee.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your purchase is the version that applies to that purchase.
